Here, Zed and Buli are taking a break from the action. Buli was still out with the separated shoulder, so he, Black (leg), and Bondra (shoulder?) were there just skating before the rest of the guys came out. The practice was pretty early on a Saturday morning, so there weren't many people there. Lemme tell ya, it was really a beautiful sight--Buli just skating around the rink, round and round, long graceful strides, and the sound of his skates cutting the ice--woosh, woosh, woosh--the only sound. Very peaceful.
Then Bondra, having skated for a while and clearly frustrated about SOMETHING, skated to center ice and banged the butt end of his stick a few times, creating gouges in the ice. He skated around some more, then again to center, and banged the blade of his stick a few times, more gouges. By this point, Tim Hunter and Frank Costello were out there, and Hunter took a water bottle over to try to repair the damage to the ice, and Costello said something to Bonzai--couldn't make out what he said. Kind of strange. This was during the time when Wilson made cryptic comments in the newspaper about how people should "ask him (Bondra)" when Bondra would be back. Hmmm.
