The lone bright day of the whole playoff series; Halpern gets the PP GW goal, and MCI Center goes nuts as the clock ticks down. I'll never forget the two annoying Pens fans who sat behind us (three games, three different pairs of annoying Pens fans--we couldn't escape!). They had been yapping all game long about how the Pens were going to sweep, how lame Caps fans are, how great the Pens are, blah blah blah. They even had a little whisk broom with them. Well, at the end of the game I turned around and they were gone . . . except they left their little broom behind and there it was, all forlorn looking on the floor. Awww, poor little broom! Yes, it becomes necessary to take comfort in such small things when the Caps are playing the Pens in the playoffs . . .
