This game was basically the story of the series for the Caps--can't score even-strength, don't get very many power-plays (neither team did), and thus, fewer wins than the Pens. There were a lot more Pens fans at this game than at game 1, but I didn't have any bad experiences. Thankfully, they hadn't really started up that annoying "Moooose" chant yet (they had it going at game 5 though!), but the Moose, I must admit, was solid. The Caps missed their chance to pepper him with lots of shots, and by the time game 3 rolled around, his confidence was high, having only allowed 2 goals in 2 games. Ah, well. What else is there to say? I think picture 2 says it all . . .
I'd say we had a pretty decent white-out in this game, despite all the black Pens jerseys! Way to go Caps fans!
This great fan sent me a really nice e-mail a few months ago complimenting me on my site. When I discovered that he and his wife had "Penguins Suck" jerseys, I had to get a picture! I got lucky though, because I had forgotten to meet up with them, and just happened to see them at the Metro stop before the game--they were kind enough to let me snap this picture, and I thought you all would enjoy seeing it!
