Caps 1, Pens 0
4-12-01
Well, I told you there weren't many pictures! LOL In retrospect, I wish I had taken a few more of this game, as it turned out to be the only home win this playoff year. :-( But, rest assured that I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the game as I am sure you all did and those who watched from home--what a performance by the Caps! Never would I have thought that they could shut out the Pens, especially in the playoffs, but they did it. My friend Sean told me right before the game that he had a feeling the Caps would get a shutout--I thought he was nuts and that he would jinx the team (silly superstitions!), but he was right. When I asked him before the 2nd game if he had any "feelings," he said he had no idea how the game would turn out. Bummer, eh?
Here you can see our "white-out." Not perfect, but a good try!
What I find most interesting about this and the next two pictures is the crowd's reaction. Check out the woman in the greenish shirt--she's looking kind of happy that there's a scrum going on . . .
. . . ok, now she's getting pretty excited about the scrum, as is the rest of the crowd. And they say that the fans don't like fighting--give me a break!!
See, now the green-shirted chick is applauding the scrum! Look at Trevor getting his nose dirty--that boy is built for the playoffs. Let's hope he can get us farther than the first round next year.
